A refined blend of fine spirits aged in three different barrels, with a rich and intense taste. The Riserva Tre Botti is the result of the expertise and creative flair of Vecchia Romagna, a company that has mastered the secrets of brandy production for two centuries now. This product acquires its richness and intensity from the blend of great spirits; the finest of which are aged for up to 10-15 years. The spirit is aged in three different barrels: the small French oak barriques to define structure and character, the large Slovenian oak barrels to bestow softness and smoothness, and the tonneau barrels previously used to store Italian red wine to obtain refined, velvety notes.
Smooth, soft and balanced due to the blend of the woody oak and roasted hazelnut notes and the sweet and crisp fruity notes of vanilla, raisins and tropical fruit, in addition to the spicy hints of cinnamon and cloves.
In 1820 Jean Buton – master distiller of the imperial house of Napoleon I – left France to settle in Italy, in Bologna, where he founded the first Italian steam distillery. In 1939 Cognac Buton, the company’s flagship distillate, becomes Vecchia Romagna : the wine distillate with an unmistakable triangular bottle . Our brandy, unique, is the result of the traditional Vecchia Romagna Method, which consists of three basic steps : the combination of spirits obtained with the continuous “column” and discontinuous “charentais” method, aging in the historic cellars of Bologna and finally the blending of aged brandies from different casks and barriques.
