Made from agave plant,GranPatrn Burdeosis typically Mexican. Designed in the highlands of the Jalisco region, bordering the Pacific Ocean, this tequila is aged for at least 12 months in American and French oak barrels. It is then distilled a second time before being transferred into barrels that once contained Bordeaux wine, hence the name Burdeos, which refers to the Bordeaux region in Spanish.
Tequila fans will be delighted with this light and sweet drink. Its lingering aftertaste evokes notes of oak, agave, vanilla and grapes. Although it can be considered a dessert in itself, this tequila is the perfect companion to petit fours.
Gran Patrn Burdeos is sold in 750 ml crystal bottles, and retails for US$530. The bottle rests gently in a wooden case that highlights the typically dark amber shades oftequilas aejos, that is to say, aged tequilas.
