Incredible freshness on the nose: rainwater, citrus and crisp fuji apple, the juicy part of the apple just below the skin. Fresh tomato, the smell when you open that flimsy little container from the supermarket and wash them in the sink. Lovely botanicals: pepper, basil, coriander, a hint of juniper, lovely cucumber: wild bouquet. Sometimes I spend more time smelling this than drinking it. The palate is fresh and clean, it’s crisp on the palate, not heavy and rich or syrupy. There’s a lot going on for something that dances lightly: fuji apple and tomato, sea salt and citrus and lovely cucumber, pepper and fresh botanicals and a kiss of oregano. Quick, clean finish that’s fresh and tomato driven but acidic, bright, citrusy and spritely. It’s hard to describe but it’s the quick, clean, bright finish that makes it so easy drinking and enticing. I’m off to have another.
