Finishing off each decadent sip, youll find endnotes that range from a distinct caramel, to sherry, to a well-balanced blend of almond and vanilla.

KIRK AND SWEENEYwas a wooden schooner, best known for smuggling rum from the Caribbean to the Northeast during the early years of Prohibition. Legend has it that it was seized off the coast of New York with a massive amount of rum aboard. In the spirit of this rum runner, Kirk and Sweeney Dominican Rum is well worth pursuing.

Kirk and Sweeney is a Dominican Republic rum that was introduced into the general market in 2013. The Gran Reserva Superior was released in 2021 and is a close match in flavor profile to our old 23 Year Old Rum which was on the market from 2015-2020.
